At COMHAR we recognize the power of one’s lived experience and the value it offers others who are new to the recovery process. Peer culture is one of the pillars of recovery and a valuable aspect of the COMHAR community. Through sharing one’s journey of recovery others have an opportunity to consider the possibility of realizing their own hopes and dreams. Recovery journeys offer a glimpse into our members’ lives, their challenges, struggles, and accomplishments. The sharing of one’s personal story about one’s journey has a healing effect on both the member and those who witness the power of the spoken or written word.
