COMPASS -Supported Independent Living Program

COMPASS is a supportive independent living program for people who are within the homeless system with co-occurring mental illness and HIV/AIDS diagnosis. COMPASS provides apartment subsidies as well as supports from independent living counselors for COMPASS members.

Some of the supports that are provided include medication supervision, mental health counseling, substance abuse counseling, and the development of life skills, e.g., leisure planning, budgeting, meal planning, and educational/vocational supports.

COMPASS provides 21 scattered site apartments and 10 congregate units in West Philadelphia.
