A neon billboard in Philadelphia is lighting the way for Kensington neighborhood residents. Kensington Healing Verse is led by Philadelphia poet laureate Trapeta B. Mayson. The project raises the voices of community members through poetry and creates meaningful public art experiences throughout the city.

Art Exhibition 2022, May 24th through May 26th

To celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month in May, we will showcase our program members’ talent in their paintings, sculptures, and poetry. We will be hosting an Art Exhibition and Silent Auction that will take place from Tuesday, May 24th, through Thursday, May 26th, in the Administration Building at 100 W. Lehigh. The Opening Reception will take place on Tuesday from 1:00 pm. to 3:00 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided for all attendees during the opening reception. For the health and safety of all attendees, we ask that you schedule a time for your visit by calling 215-203-3056. Additionally, masking will be mandatory, and all attendees will be screened. The Silent Auction will be available during the full three days of the Art Exhibit.
