Are you looking for an internship opportunity to learn, develop and expand your competencies for the assessment and treatment of adults and their families? COMHAR's Community Integrated Recovery Center Programs may be for you!
The Community Integrated Recovery Center(s) "CIRC" provides traditional Outpatient therapies and Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services (PRS) on site and in the community. We provide a community setting with groups and individuals' using a variety of Evidence Based Practices (EBP), providing individual PRS and Therapy, and group PRS and Therapy, teaching, psychiatric evaluation and medication management services.
There are 4 CIRC Programs specializing in different populations. Age group is 18 and over with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and a functional impairment in one of 5 domains: Living, Learning, Working, Socializing and Wellness.

Interns for this program will observe, co-facilitate and eventually facility PRS/Therapy Groups and individual services with a minimum caseload that is determined by the interns' schedule. This internship will include completing intakes which consists of health screenings (PHQ9, Audit C, PHQ9, PTSD checklist, Fagerstrom, WHOQOL, etc.) Release of information, Consents, Functional Assessment (Recovery Domain Assessment) within the program, providing clinical services, developing and implementing treatment plans, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, and the potential for additional educational opportunities. Interns will receive supervision weekly from a Master's Level Staff, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitative Specialist (CPRP), LPC or MSW may be available.

- Must possess a minimum of a bachelor's degree in a mental health discipline from an accredited university and be in 1st or 2nd year of master’s program/or advanced standing to participate.
- Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Criminal Background Check completed through the Department of Human Services (Only based on residency in the state of PA, must lived in PA for two (2) or more years uninterrupted)
