COMHAR is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced board certified psychiatric/mental health CRNP to engage with our Latino focused population in our outpatient service program.

ON-SITE POSITION
Bilingual CRNP (Spanish Speaking)
COMHAR outpatient services allow clients to maintain normal activities and relationships with family, community, workplace or school. Services include: Psychiatric Evaluation; Psychotherapy for Individuals, Groups and Families; Medication Assessment and Monitoring; Identification of Need for Other Services; and Referral to Community Resources.

We are currently looking for a Bilingual Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioner for our Outpatient Behavioral Health services who would work specifically with our Adult and Children population.
Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioner Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensures thorough, quality, up-to-date medical and health documentation for assigned clients
- Ensures effective, evidence-based therapeutics, including medication prescription for assigned clients
- Completes psychiatric evaluations and mental status exams in conjunction with documentation standards
- Completes all required client-related documentation including psychiatric evaluations, mental status exams, lab requests, mental status forms, incident reports, etc.
)for all assigned clients in coordination with documentation standards - Meets monthly with supervisory staff to review cases, individual performance, identify and assess practice and developmental goals, etc.
- Collaborates with treatment team members in reviewing client’s progress and treatment needs
- Ensures timely and effective communication with clients, families, providers, caseworkers, advocates and other medical professionals involved in clients' care
- Ensures compliance to all internal and external regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ensures continued professional development and self-improvement
- Maintains necessary credentials to ensure ongoing practice
- Performs special projects as assigned
Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioner Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the Certified Psychiatric Registered Nurse Practitioner is regularly required to talk or hear others and accurately interpret speech and sounds. Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and descend stairs. Required to use hands and arms to reach, hold, and carry objects. Required to sit; stand, maintain balance; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & ability to adjust optical focus for reading, driving, general observation and for all safety needs.

Qualifications:
- Master's or higher degree in nursing science
- Current license as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with a psychiatry specialty
- Board certification as a psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner
- Eligibility for DEA licensure
- Current license as a Registered Nurse
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) required
Skills Required:
Must have excellent advanced practice clinical nursing skills including assessment, psychopharmacology, knowledge of behavioral health systems, community resources; excellent verbal/written communication skills; ability to work well with people; good, creative problem solving skills; ability to work independently, and be flexible/adaptive in handling changing priorities in a fast paced work environment; computer skills required.
